Seva Kendra History
What is currently known as Shri Ambika Yoga Seva Kendra was founded in 1992 under the name of Shri Ambika Yoga Nisargopachar Kendra. The Kendra was founded and has been operating under the inspired leadership of Ajitbhai who was very keen to start a centre for the village people.
Shri Ajitbhai came in contact with Parampujya Hathayogi Shri Naikam Guruji in 1982 to seek treatment for back problems. He was deeply impressed by Guruji’s humility in serving mankind and his spiritual powers and got attracted to Guruji’s work. After his ailment was fully cured, he took the initiative to start several Ambika Yoga branches in the Western suburbs of Mumbai. It was after he had been running these branches for several years that he was inspired to set up a centre to serve the people of the village. Ajitbhai and Anitaben devote all of their time selflessly to the Kendra’s activities and the well being of the village people. They reside on the Kendra property and are available to the village people at all times of the day.
